K,1,&2 Parents: As part of your new & final at-home learning packets that were distributed on April 17th, ACPS has included lessons from our Heggerty Phonemics Awareness Training program. Your children are already familiar with these activities, as they were completing them in school each day with their teacher. However we understand that you are not familiar with how to complete these lessons.

Please continue to enjoy reading together! No library books need to be returned at this time while learning opportunities have been released to students. We will collect library books at the end of May. Stay tuned for more details.

You must submit one application per student during the period of May 1 through July 15, annually prior to the start of the upcoming school year. The deadline to submit out-of-zone and non-resident requests for the 2018-2019 school year is July 15, 2019. The forms are located on the Amherst County Public Schools Website under the tab titled "Parents/Students". There are several options for you to turn in the completed forms. You may fax the completed form to Elon Elementary at (434)386-9300, scan and email them to Mrs.

Current Amherst County Public Schools practice and policy requires anyone checking a student out of school to come into the office, provide a photo ID, and then sign the student out. This is a daily requirement. Your cooperation to ensure safety of all students is appreciated.

Information about the ACPS App
Amherst County Public Schools now has an App for both Apple and Android devices. Search your App Store for “Amherst County Public Schools” and you should find it. Among other things, the App will allow us to send you push notifications in addition to phone calls, texts, and emails.
